54mm Twist-Lock Dosing Portafilter Funnel

Keep coffee grounds in the basket and make transferring coffee from a 58mm dosing cup easier with this 54mm twist-lock dosing funnel, designed for use with compatible Breville 54mm portafilters.

A key advantage of this funnel is that it helps bridge the size difference between a Breville 54mm portafilter and the 58mm dosing cups used with the DF54 and DF64 Gen 2. This makes it easier to transfer freshly ground coffee from the grinder's dosing cup into the smaller Breville basket with less risk of grounds spilling around the edges.

The funnel attaches to the portafilter using a twist-lock design, helping keep it securely in position while transferring coffee, distributing grounds or using a WDT tool. Its raised walls provide additional space above the basket for cleaner and more controlled puck preparation.

Use with the DF54 and DF64 Gen 2

The DF54 and DF64 Gen 2 use 58mm dosing cups, while many Breville espresso machines use a smaller 54mm portafilter.

This dosing funnel provides a practical interface between the two sizes, allowing coffee from the grinder's 58mm dosing cup to be transferred more cleanly into a compatible Breville 54mm basket.

It can be used with the dosing cups supplied with these grinders or with our Metal Dosing Cup for the DF54 and DF64 Gen 2.

Why Use a Dosing Funnel?

Freshly ground coffee can easily spill over the edge of a portafilter basket, particularly when transferring coffee from a larger dosing cup or performing WDT. A dosing funnel extends the working area above the basket, helping guide coffee into the portafilter while providing additional room to break up clumps and distribute the grounds evenly.

For Breville users pairing a 54mm portafilter with a DF-series grinder, the funnel is particularly useful because it makes transferring coffee from the grinder's 58mm dosing cup into the smaller basket considerably easier and less messy.

Once distribution is complete, simply remove the funnel and tamp as normal.
