Built around a 64mm flat-burr platform, it delivers outstanding grind consistency and clarity in the cup.

Features

  • The DF64 Gen 2 has a grind range of about 180 to 1050 microns. With its range it can effectively grind for virtually any brew type, from Espresso or Turkish coffee to filter, and cold brew. Settings can be easily changed, adjusted and refined via its stepless micrometric adjustment ring.

  • Built on a 64mm burr platform the DF64 Gen 2 is very customisable, with a range of after-market burr options available to it from SSP, Better Grinding, Italmil and others.

  • The Gen 2 is an extremely low retention single-dose grinder, so each ground is fresh and flavourful. The grinder achieves retention rates of less than 0.4 grams, and has a range of features that help it achieve this. These include an 'anti-popcorn' disc and an improved bellows system allowing for easy and effective purging of remaining coffee grounds.

  • The DF64 Gen 2 is constructed with sturdy heavy-duty, aluminium body. Its parts are replaceable. It's a grinder built to last. Its design is simple and minimalist, with a design and construction allowing for continued precision and longevity.

What burrs does the DF64 Gen 2 use?

The DF64 gen 2 uses 64 mm flat burrs.

The stock models at Grind Logic come with either uncoated stainless steel burrs, or red titanium coated stainless steel burrs.

After-market burr options are available for the DF64 Gen 2, such as SSP's 64 mm lab sweet burrs, and SSP 64 mm red speed multipurpose and espresso burrs. These allow you to refine the grinder's performance and optimise it for your preferred brew method and taste profile.

Is the DF64 Gen 2 easy to clean and maintain?

Yes, the grinder is very easy to clean and maintain.

The burr chamber is accessible by removing the collar, and its bellows allow you to easily purge the grinder of residual coffee grounds.

An occasional clean out of the burr chamber and exit chute using its accompanying chute cleaning brush keeps performance and taste consistent.

Can I grind directly into a portafilter?

Yes. It includes a 58 mm dosing cup and collar that can hold your portafilter or act as a catch cup for clean, direct dosing.
Is the DF64 Gen 2 suitable for beginners?

Yes it is! The DF64 Gen 2 is very beginner-friendly. Simply set the grind dial to your desired range, switch the grinder on, and add your coffee beans. Its stepless adjustment and low-retention design make it easy to learn and consistent to use, even for first-time espresso or filter brewing.
