The Grind Logic Espresso WDT Tool with Stand helps break apart clumps and distribute ground coffee more evenly throughout your portafilter basket before tamping. WDT, or the Weiss Distribution Technique, uses fine needles to create a more uniform coffee bed, which may help reduce channeling and improve espresso consistency.

The removable needles are made from stainless steel and can be individually removed or replaced for easier cleaning and ongoing maintenance. After use, the tool fits neatly into its matching stand, helping protect the needles while keeping your coffee setup tidy.

How to Use

  1. Dose your ground coffee into the portafilter basket.
  2. Insert the needles gently into the coffee bed, working close to the bottom of the basket.
  3. Use small circular or sweeping motions to break apart clumps and distribute the coffee evenly.
  4. Gradually move toward the surface, leaving the coffee bed reasonably level.
  5. Remove the tool and tamp as usual.
