Grind Logic Magnetic WDT Tool with Stand

The Grind Logic Magnetic WDT Tool with Stand combines an eight-needle espresso distribution tool with compact magnetic storage. Designed for a clean and convenient espresso workflow, it helps break apart clumps and redistribute freshly ground coffee before tamping.

Eight fine 304 stainless-steel needles work through the coffee bed using the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT). When you're finished, the compact aluminium handle docks magnetically beneath the elevated stand, keeping the needles suspended above the bench and ready for your next shot.

Magnetic Storage, Ready for the Next Shot

Simply return the WDT tool to its stand after use. The handle attaches magnetically beneath the top of the stand, leaving the fine needles suspended rather than resting against the bench.

The open stand keeps the tool visible and within easy reach while taking up relatively little space alongside your grinder or espresso machine.

8-Needle WDT Distribution

WDT, or Weiss Distribution Technique, involves gently working through freshly ground coffee with fine needles before tamping. This helps break apart clumps and redistribute grounds throughout the portafilter basket, helping create a more even coffee bed before extraction.

The eight-needle arrangement provides multiple contact points through the grounds while the compact handle remains easy to control.

How to Use

1. Grind your coffee into the portafilter basket.
2. Insert the WDT needles into the coffee bed.
3. Gently move the tool through the grounds to break apart clumps and redistribute the coffee.
4. Finish with a few shallower movements across the surface if required.
5. Remove the WDT tool, tamp the coffee and prepare your espresso as usual.
6. Return the tool to its magnetic stand after use.

Care

Wipe the handle and stand with a soft damp cloth as required. Coffee residue can be gently removed from the stainless-steel needles with a soft brush or cloth. Take care not to bend the fine needles during cleaning or storage.
