The original DF64 (Gen 1) established the basic platform: a 64mm flat-burr, single-dose grinder with stepless adjustment, low retention and broad compatibility with aftermarket 64mm burrs, including many SSP options.

The DF64 Gen 2 retained that core design while introducing a more refined workflow, including an anti-static ioniser, updated grounds chute and declumper arrangement, integrated anti-popcorn system, and revised dosing accessories.

Since the introduction of Gen 2, the DF64 has received smaller running updates between production batches rather than major changes to the grinder itself.

Gen 2 v2.5 units typically included several accessory and workflow refinements, including the black metal dosing cup and silicone dosing-cup wedge used in place of the earlier dosing collar.

Gen 2 v2.7 is the latest production revision supplied by Grind Logic. It incorporates the latest factory refinements, including an updated anti-popcorn design and revised inner-chute ioniser arrangement.

The core motor specification, 64mm burr platform, stepless adjustment system and overall grinding concept remain fundamentally consistent across the Gen 2 revisions. Differences between versions such as v2.5 and v2.7 are therefore best understood as incremental workflow and component refinements rather than major changes in grinding performance.

Yes, fundamentally. A Turin DF64 Gen 2 and a DF64 Gen 2 sold without Turin branding are based on the same underlying grinder design: a low-retention, single-dose grinder using a 64 mm flat-burr platform and stepless grind adjustment.

Turin is not the manufacturer of the DF64 Gen 2. It is a commercial brand under which the DF64 Gen 2 and other DF-series grinders are sold in certain markets. The same underlying DF-series grinders are sold internationally under different branding and distribution arrangements.

That does not mean every DF64 Gen 2 is identical in every detail. The grinder has received several running production revisions, and features such as the declumper, exit chute, anti-popcorn insert, burr configuration and included accessories can vary between production versions and suppliers.
